The Marlborough Republicans

Ruth Kelly - Incumbent Local BOE

I have been a resident of Marlborough for 51 years.  My husband, Jim, and I raised three boys in town and all graduated the local school system.  Two of those children currently reside in Marlborough.  My oldest grandchild, currently serving in the Marine Corp, graduated from RHAM and the other three are presently in our local schools.  I graduated college with a degree in Elementary Education and taught in East Hartford for 5 years.  After taking time off for child rearing, I taught at MES for 25 years.  I was an active member of the PTO when my children were in the school serving as secretary, Vice President and room mother.  After retiring I was elected to the Board of Education and have served for 12 years, the last 6 as Chairperson.  I have always believed in and supported public education.  Our school is committed to providing each of our children with the education they need to succeed in life and to become productive citizens of our country.  Our present board works cooperatively in a nonpartisan manner to continuously improve our school and to help each child to for fill their potential while acting in a fiscally responsible manner.  I am seeking re-election to continue my service to the town and especial it’s children to the best of my abilities.

Louise Concodello - Incumbent Local BOE

I am seeking my 7th term on the Marlborough Board of Education.  I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with my fellow Board Members to ensure education in Marlborough remains outstanding.  I also volunteer my time by serving on three other boards and commissions in Town.

My husband, Joe and I have lived in town for 42 years, we have 2 sons that have gone through the Marlborough Elementary and RHAM School system.  Joe Jr. and his wife Veronica are expecting their first daughter in a few weeks and Michael and his wife Meredith have two daughters.  We are
very proud grandparents.  During the weekdays for the past 36 years, I am a licensed Home Daycare Provider.

I ask for your vote on November 5th so I can continue to serve another term on the Marlborough Board of Education. With your vote I can continue my collaboration with the MES BOE to maintain and advance  education for all the children in Marlborough.

Patrick Pabouet - Incumbent Local BOE

After moving to Marlborough 30 years ago with my wife and son, I retired from a career in the security industry and in 2015 sought to become more involved in my community by running for office on the Board of Education. It was Marlborough’s quality educational system that attracted me to Marlborough in the first place and my son, who was 14 at the time, subsequently attended and graduated from RHAM.

I have deeply enjoyed my involvement as a member of the Marlborough Board of Education and as past President of the Argus Security Group, I brought with me knowledge that I trust benefited the school system. I have worked hard with my fellow Board members to develop reasonable budgets for our elementary school, maintain our school’s high educational standards and at the same time have brought my security experience to bare by improving security and safety of the school environment for our children.

In addition to my service to our community, I teach boating safety and am a member of the Connecticut Police Chief’s Association, which brought me satisfaction, but my time as a Board of Education member has afforded me a special level of fulfillment. I would greatly appreciate your support so I can continue to serve Marlborough for another four years.
